Scientific seminar on contamination of radioactive substances and Nutrition was held at the Atomic Energy High Commission.
On 26th November 2018 a Scientific seminar on contamination of radioactive substances and nutrition was delivered by Dr. Mohammad Davood Haidari, professor of agriculture at Kabul University, at the headquarter s of Afghan Atomic Energy High Commission.
Dr. Mohammad Davood Haidari completed his master's degree in India at the UIS Agricultural Sciences University of Bangalore, and later in 2014, with the cooperation of JICA Institution, he went to Japan to continue studying. He started researching in environmental problems, relevant to radioactive contamination issues, more specifically, the introduction of Cesium137 in food chains. Prof. Haidari presented his doctor's thesis on studying the effects of radioactive decay materials released during Fukushima Incident on soils and feeding the regional herbal, finally got his doctorate (Ph.D) from Tokyo University.
Dr. Mohammad Davood Haidari has been a member of the academic staff at Kabul University for eleven years. He teaches Soil science and Irrigation at the University Level during his presence in Afghanistan. More than 40 of his scientific articles have already been published in international journals, as well as a number of his scientific articles specifically, the study of radioactive materials in the Soil of Afghanistan are under revising.
