Message from Head

The Afghanistan Nuclear Energy Agency is one of the youngest administrative units of the country with a vision of using of nuclear energy in peaceful purposes. ANEA’s activities does not limited to the of use nuclear energy in the fields of medicine, agriculture, industry, electricity generation, mines, environmental protection and other peaceful purposes, but the long-term goal of this commission is to make significant contribution to the general policy of the Afghan government for the growth of the country's core economy, to use the natural resources of the country, including water and mines and to create employment opportunities among young generation. Therefore, this is one of the important programs in order to create co-ordination between specialist and experts inside and outside the country and to encourage young people to study natural sciences in order to make this commission a prestigious science and research center in the field of science and technology.

Nuclear Energy Agency, as the secretariat (administrative and specialized department) of Afghanistan Atomic Energy High Commission in coordination with other members of this commission under the leadership of the President of Afghanistan determines the general policies of the country in order to ensure the safe and secure use of nuclear technology and sustainable development.
